Mozart Society
One of the more recent additions to Chemnitz´s cultural life has been the Saxon Mozart Festival which debuted in 1995. Sponsored by the Saxon Mozart Society one of its aims is that of connecting the spirit and heritage of Mozart with new musical ideas, a goal many visitors esteem highly.
The Festival´s organizer orientates his programs and productions along contemporary lines and subjects. You may be sure that these programs are never stuffy nor stale!
